I'm Doing a Class on Early Christianity
What’s up y’all. The vaccine still hasn’t killed me, I just haven’t found any reason to write about economics when we have an objectively great economy and people want to throw it away so a game show host can have unchecked power.
But, I’m starting something new that might actually be useful, since economic news clearly isn’t. I think I mentioned this before, but since writing my book I’ve done a lot of work with people who were experienced trauma or abuse because of their churches. One such person has become a dear friend, and she asked if I would do a whole class on the New Testament and Early Christianity using historic and academic evidence rather than Christian liturgy. Since a lot of you mentioned that you liked when I would write about religion, I figured I’d invite you to join in. It’ll be a newsletter, just like this, that I send out once a week. If you liked the piece I wrote on Mary Magdalene here, the class will probably be a lot like that. Hope to see you there!
